Button Head Socket Screw

Button head socket screws combine a low rounded profile with an internal hex drive. They are selected when appearance, snag resistance, or reduced head height matters more than the maximum tightening torque available from a standard DIN 912 cylindrical head.

Buyer Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a button head socket screw use the same torque as DIN 912?

No. Its smaller head and hex socket provide lower drive capacity. For the same diameter, the permitted tightening torque is normally lower than a DIN 912 socket head cap screw, so use the supplier or engineering torque table for the exact grade and size.

What is the difference between ISO 7380-1 and ISO 7380-2?

ISO 7380-1 has a standard button head. ISO 7380-2 adds an integrated flange under the head to increase bearing area and may eliminate a separate washer. Confirm the flange requirement in the RFQ.
