Buyer Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can brass wood screws be over-tightened?

Yes, easily. Brass is much softer than steel and the head can twist off at modest torque, especially at smaller sizes. Always pre-drill pilot holes, lubricate the threads (wax or soap), and tighten by hand or at very low power-tool torque.
