What is the difference between DIN 315 and DIN 314 wing nuts?

DIN 315 has rounded, gracefully curved wings (the 'American' style); DIN 314 has more rectangular, straight-edged wings (the 'German' style). DIN 315 is much more commonly stocked. Functionally they are equivalent.
