Stainless Socket Cap Screw

Stainless socket cap screws (Allen bolts) to DIN 912 / ISO 4762 in austenitic stainless. A2-70 for general use; A4-70 for chloride and marine. Note: A2-70 / A4-70 indicate strength tier; the maximum strength stainless can achieve via cold work, generally lower than carbon steel Class 12.9.

Common surface finishes

Select an option to review its sourcing note. Exact coating system, thickness, and corrosion requirement are confirmed with the order.

Natural stainless provides corrosion resistance without an added metallic coating. Confirm the required grade and surface condition in the RFQ.

Quality Control

Checked before consolidation and export

Each order is matched to the specified standard and verified at practical control points before shipment.

01 · DOCUMENT

RFQ confirmation

Standard, size, grade, pitch, finish, certificates, packing, and destination are locked before production.

02 · INSPECT

Lot verification

Critical dimensions, thread fit, markings, finish appearance, and packing labels are sampled and recorded.

03 · RELEASE

Shipment approval

Photos and required reports are organized before consolidated loading and export documentation.

Buyer Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a stainless socket cap screw match Class 12.9 strength?

No. Austenitic stainless, even cold-worked to A4-80, has lower tensile strength than Class 12.9 carbon alloy steel. If both high strength and corrosion resistance are required, use a high-end carbon steel screw with a corrosion-protective coating (Geomet, Dacromet) or specify a duplex or precipitation-hardened stainless (which is much more expensive).
