Frequently Asked Questions
Can A193 B7 be used at low temperature?
No. A193 B7 is not Charpy impact-tested at low temperatures and may exhibit brittle fracture. For service below 0 °C, specify A320 L7. Although the chemistry is similar, the required impact testing and proven low-temperature performance distinguish the two.
